FODI 2020 has been cancelled.

Dear FODI Supporter,

The government ban of non-essential gatherings of 500 people or more has regrettably caused the cancellation of the 2020 Festival of Dangerous Ideas.

Although this decision is an incredible blow, your health, and that of our staff, speakers, artists and the wider public, is what matters most at this time.

Our FODI team has created a Festival program that we were so proud to present. Unfortunately, the product of thousands of hours of passionate effort cannot be delivered to you, as planned, on 3-5 April.

Most of the costs of putting on the Festival have already been incurred and the effects of a pandemic are uninsurable. As such, we are asking ticket buyers to consider converting their ticket to a tax-deductible donation to support our ongoing work. If there are others who would also like to offer their support during this challenging time, you can do so here.

If ever there was a time when the ethics of our response to everyday life really mattered, it is today.

We are sincerely grateful for your support of this year’s Festival, and your understanding as we navigate this challenging time.

REFUNDS

FODI and IWannaTicket are making best endeavors to process all ticket refunds and donations by Monday April 6, 2020.
