In these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”), “You” means the individual purchasing tickets for the Festival of Dangerous Ideas event (“FODI”), an event produced by The Ethics Centre Limited, ABN 83 637 740 533 (“TEC”).
It is important that you read these Terms and the FODI Privacy Policy carefully before you attend FODI, or access Content (as defined below). These Terms together with the Privacy Policy form a legally binding agreement. If you do not agree to any of these Terms or the Privacy Policy, please cease to confirm any ticket purchases, and do not attend.
Furthermore, you may not accept these Terms, and thus be a ticket holder for FODI, unless you are 16 years of age or over.
When you access FODI you may have access to services provided by companies outside TEC (“Third Party Services”). FODI and TEC are not responsible for Third Party Services and your use of Third Party Services shall be governed by the applicable terms and conditions of such Third Party Services. This includes, but is not limited to, venue operators City of Sydney and Carriageworks, production services provider Orbit and dplr, and bookshop operator Gleebooks.
Discounts and ‘special ticket offers’ are subject to availability and may be discontinued at the discretion of TEC.
The October 2025 Salman Rushdie early release is a ‘special ticket offer’ made by FODI. If you purchase tickets as part of this special ticket offer you will receive immediate receipt of your payment and booking. You will not receive your tickets at the time of booking. Tickets will not be dispensed prior to August 2026. Tickets will be sent via email to the email address you provided when booking.
Tickets purchased as part of the Salman Rushdie early release special ticket offer will be sent separately to any other Festival tickets you may purchase.
Unless otherwise stated, all final ticket purchase prices will include booking fees and for any questions, concerns or feedback please contact: boxoffice@festivalofdangerousideas.com
FODI program details are correct at time of publication but are subject to change at the discretion of FODI where necessary and without notice.
Tickets may not, without the prior consent from FODI, be resold or offered for resale at a premium (including via online auction sites) either by the original purchaser or any subsequent bearer. If a ticket is sold in breach of this condition, the ticket may be cancelled without a refund and the bearer of the ticket may be refused.
Any political affiliations or views and opinions expressed by Talent participating in, or sponsoring, the FODI Program do not represent the views of FODI, TEC, their staff, or any partners or sponsors of FODI.
By making a purchase from TEC you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions in effect at the time of purchase.
TEC is bound by the National Privacy principles under the Privacy Act. TEC holds personal information for the purposes of sending information about TEC events.
