PREPARING FOR EXTINCTION

Amidst the hills, lakes and flower beds of the Botanic Garden Mount Annan sit two facilities safeguarding us against a desolate future. Inside the National Herbarium of New South Wales, a world-renowned collection of 1.4 million specimens, and in the state-of the-art vaults of the PlantBank, native seeds are stored as an insurance policy against extinction in the wild. Witness the high-stakes work of conservation and restoration, as scientists race against time to preserve species on the brink.  

Includes return coach transport from Railway Square Sydney, tours of each facility and a boxed picnic lunch.
