Ticket Types
Multipack – available now
Book 3 or more different paid sessions in one go and save 15% on General Admission. Stack the same session multiple times if you like, but the discount only kicks in once you’ve got 3+ unique paid sessions in the cart. Free sessions and events, concession/youth/group tickets don’t count toward the threshold – and merch/donations never get the discount. The 15% is applied per qualifying ticket.
For those who want more, we invite you to join the inaugural Dangerous Ideas Society. A small number of premium seats for The Price of Ideas are available exclusively for Society members, in addition to entry to keynote sessions across the main Festival Weekend at Carriageworks. Find out more.
Single Tickets – soon

Concession single tickets – soon
For full-time students, government health card holders, and Seniors Card holders. You may be asked to provide proof at the entry.
Youth single tickets – soon
Ages 30 and under, same price as Concession. Limited allocation. You may be asked to provide proof at the entry.
Group Tickets – soon
Bring 8 or more of your most dangerous-minded friends and save 15% off single general admission tickets. Doesn’t work with Multipack.
Livestream Tickets – soon
For select Carriageworks sessions only. On-demand replay available for 14 days after the event. Check back for the list.
Companion Pass
Companion Card holders get one free ticket for their companion. For access bookings – companion cards, Auslan, mobility/wheelchair, or seat transfers please email boxoffice@festivalofdangerousideas.com call or text 0421 748 454.
Booking Information
Book online: browse, add to cart, checkout. No booking or transaction fees on our site.
As of June 2026, the only authorised tickets are via our website, Humanitix (for existing Salman Rushdie bookings only) and Carriageworks for select events. Your purchase may appear in your bank transaction history under the name of our ticketing provider, “I Wanna Ticket”.

If I am unable to attend my session, can I get a refund?
While we will try to provide a livestream option for selected sessions, so you can still enjoy the Festival remotely, sales are final. Please read our full Ticketing Terms and Conditions.
Prices are subject to change
Ticket prices may be adjusted, either up or down, based on market demand and without notice.
Lost Tickets
Festival tickets do not have allocated seating and cannot be replaced if lost, damaged or stolen. For enquiries regarding tickets, please contact boxoffice@festivalofdangerousideas.com.
